DYTYMDid You Take Your Medicine?
A LITTLE HELP GOES A LONG WAY

Let’s clear things up.

Start here for questions about the app, your organizer, and the beta.

What does DYTYM stand for?

Did You Take Your Medicine? It’s the everyday question behind an app that connects reminders to a simple check-in at your pill organizer.

Do I need a special pill organizer?

No. The iOS app can generate personalized QR codes to print and place under the matching lids of your own weekly organizer. Buying DYTYM hardware isn’t required. Our seven-day 3D-printed organizer is coming soon, and is not available to order yet. See the organizer design and plans.

Does scanning prove I took my medicine?

No. A scan records that the matching QR code was scanned. It cannot verify ingestion or prevent every missed or duplicate dose. Follow your clinician’s and pharmacist’s instructions.

Will DYTYM call me?

Only if you choose to enable them, give consent, and verify your phone number. Calls respect quiet hours and can be paused or turned off. The current beta allows at most 2 calls per dose, at least 10 minutes apart, and none more than 60 minutes after the dose time. Calls only ask you to open DYTYM; they never mention medication. Delivery can be delayed or fail.

Do notifications name my medications?

Not by default. Private reminders ask you to open DYTYM without naming medications. Choose Detailed under Notification detail in Settings if you want medication names in reminders. Notifications may appear on your lock screen, and family alerts name the person who needs attention.

How do I pair a printed DYTYM organizer?

Scan any compartment of a new organizer. With one eligible member and one medication period, it pairs automatically; otherwise, the app asks who it belongs to and which dose it is for. You can reassign or unpair it in Settings → Printed organizers. The printed organizer is coming soon and is not available to order yet.

How do I contact support or delete my data?

Email support@dytym.com for help or to request account deletion from your account’s email address. Please don’t send medication details. See our privacy policy for what is collected and how deletion works.

Can I use it on Android?

A native Android app is in development. Android testers will join the closed beta once the app passes its own reliability testing. There is no Android download or committed release date yet.

How can I join the beta?

DYTYM is in a closed alpha, tested in our own household first. Invitations to the closed beta are not yet open. Sign up for email updates on the beta page and we’ll let you know when they are. Signing up doesn’t guarantee a spot.

Something isn’t working?

Reminders aren’t showing up
Check that notifications are allowed for DYTYM in your phone’s Settings, and that a Focus or Do Not Disturb mode isn’t holding them. Then, in DYTYM, go to Settings and tap Send a test notification.
The scanner won’t read a code
Allow camera access (the Scanner shows an Open Settings button if it’s off). Use good light, hold steady, and scan the code in the compartment for the day you’re taking.
Not sure a scan counted
Home shows Taken for each recorded dose, and Last 7 days shows when it was scanned. If it isn’t there, it wasn’t recorded, so keep to your usual routine.
No reminder call came
Calls need a verified phone number and calls turned on in Settings. They don’t ring during quiet hours or while paused, and there are at most two per dose.
